Tuesday May 17th, Day 1: Depart Phoenix

Arrive on your own to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport for flight to Shannon

Wednesday May 18th, Day 2: Arrive Shannon - Luxury coach to Tullamore

travel day*

Arrival at Shannon Airport.

Meet local representative who will transfer our group to hotel.

Remainder of day for rest, sightseeing, relaxation.

Evening Lecture by Dudley Stewart on local culture, history and Charleville Castle

Thursday May 19th, Day 3:

Free day, local exploration

Friday May 20th, Day 4:

Bog train tour of bogs

Lunch in Ferbane

Motorcoach to Clonmacnoise Monastic Site

Tour led by Dudley Stewart

River Launch from Clonmacnoise to Banagher

Motorcoach from Banagher to Tullamore

Return to Tullamore late afternoon

Dinner on your own

SATURDAY MAY 21ST, DAY 5:

Breakfast included at hotel or local restaurant.

Relax and catch up with sleep, explore the local countryside, take the train to Dublin. On your own.

Sunday may 22nd, Day 6:

Breakfast included at hotel or local restaurant.

Relax and catch up with sleep, explore the local countryside, take the train to Dublin. On your own.

Monday may 23rd - thursday may 26th, Days 7 - 10: classes meet at charleville castle

Breakfast included at hotel or local restaurant. Castle activities and classroom activities which may include guest lectures, and castle exploration. Dinner and evening entertainment on your own.

friday may 23rd - sunday may 29th, days 11 - 13:

FREE WEEKEND - OPTIONS TBA

Breakfast included at hotel or local restaurant. Dinner and evening entertainment on your own.

monday may 30th & Wednesday June 1st, Days 14, 15 & 16:

Classes daily at charleville castle

Breakfast included at hotel or local restaurant. Castle activities and classroom activities which may include guest lectures, and castle exploration. Dinner and evening entertainment on your own.

Thursday June 2nd - sunday june 5th, days 16 - 20:

Optional 4 day tour to Western Ireland

In order to reduce overall program costs, this tour is an option for all students. Additional fee required.

monday june 6th, Day 21:

Last class day at Charleville castle.

Breakfast included at hotel or local restaurant.

Final day of class activities in Tullamore. Evening gala dinner at Charleville Castle featuring local artists, musicians and Irish food. We will spend part of the evening reviewing our projects and presenting awards. Music, food and fun for all.

tuesday june 7th, Day 22:

Early departure from Tullamore by motorcoach to Shannon Airport for flight home to Phoenix. Breakfast provided.

Refunds:

  • Tuition - Refunds of tuition payments are available and are determined by the policies articulated in the Phoenix College Catalogue and the printed and online Phoenix College Course Schedule.
  • Program Fees - Program fees may be refunded on the following basis:
    100% refund if cancellation occurs on or before March 21, 2005
    75% refund if cancellation occurs between March 22 and March 26, 2005
    50% refund if cancellation occurs between March 27, 2005 and April 10, 2005
    25% refund if cancellation occurs between April 11 and May 9, 2005
    0% refund if cancellation occurs on or after May 10, 2005

NOTE - The refund policy articulated above is based on the College's financial commitments for faculty salary, airfare, ground transportation, accommodations, and instructional space in Ireland that have to be paid in advance of departure.
