Terms
- Cardiovascular Exercise: Cardiovascular exercise is also known as aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise uses your large muscles and can be continued for long periods. For example, walking, jogging, swimming, and cycling are aerobic activities. These types of exercises drive your body to use oxygen more efficiently and deliver maximum benefits to your heart, lungs, and circulatory system.
- Muscle Strength: The ability of the muscle to exert a maximum force against a resistance.
- Muscle Endurance : The ability of the muscle to exert a submaximal force repeatedly over a period of time.
- Flexibility: The ability to move a joint through a full range of motion.
- Body Composition : The
percentage of body fat to lean body mass in the body.
