Financial Aid Check Distribution

The Cashiers Office will mail grant, scholarship, and Electronic Funds Transfer Federal Stafford Loan checks up to ten days before classes begin if you meet all of the following criteria:

• You have a grant or scholarship award for the semester.
• You are enrolled in the proper credit hours for which you were awarded a grant or scholarship.
• You are in a program of study that is eligible for federal financial aid.
• You have provided Admissions and Records with a current Arizona address.
• You have maintained the standards as outlined in the Procedures for Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Eligibility.
• Your grant and/or scholarship award(s) is/are more than your costs for the semester.
• You are not a first time borrower and you have attended the required loan entrance session.

If any of the above does not apply, then the financial check may not be available for immediate mailing.

All other Federal Stafford Loan checks will be mailed the first day of classes, following the posted schedule.  First time freshman borrowers are required to wait 30 days after classes have been in session before their Federal Stafford Loan checks are mailed.
