Evidence that  demonstrates that the organization (PC) creates effective learning environments.
We want to consider to show this evidence:

The organization employs, when appropriate, new technologies that enhance effective learning environments for students.

Essentially, send via email anything that relates to the yahoo groups, the financials for our club treasurers, and technology introduced via the procurement mtgs.  You do not have to prepare a report, any written docs, usage, MCCCD messages, guidelines, will work.

Student Life and Leadership:

·         PC and MCCD logos are available online for students to use in their club publications. (http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/intranet/web/logos.htm)

·         Student clubs can be provided with an email account for club use (ex: club@pcmail.maricopa.edu).

·         Club finances are tracked by the Student Life department using the Web Financials system. This system enables the Student Life department to quickly and easily print account balance information for club treasurers.

·         2003 or earlier: Student clubs are provided with assistance in developing websites for their clubs. In 2005, as part of the development of a new campus-wide website, student clubs will be provided with training on how to easily create and maintain club websites.  (ex: http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/asid/  or http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/education/FTC.html or http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/community/nasa/ )

·         Since Fall 2003: An optional event planning/evaluation tool called the Program Summary is available online (http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/studentlife/forms/Program_Summary.php). Clubs can complete this form and it will be submitted to a database stored in Student Life so that records of their event can be kept for future reference and planning. A copy of the completed form is also sent to the club.

·         Since Fall 2003 (updated annually): The Phoenix College Student Handbook is available online in PDF format (http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/studentlife/handbook.htm). The Housing and Apartment Guide compiled by the Student Life department is also available online. (http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/studentlife/services.htm)

·         Since Fall 2003: Distribution lists of emails for club advisors and club officers are created to assist in communication.  A great deal of communication about events and opportunities is done via email.

·         Fall 2004: Student clubs are encouraged to create yahoo message groups to facilitate communication between members, post meeting minutes, etc.  (ex: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pcftc/  or http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PhoenixCollegeMEChA/)

·         Fall 2004: Clubs are provided with a computer disk containing templates for writing agendas and minutes and for storing their documents.

·         Fall 2004: Clubs are provided with a disposable camera at the start of the fall semester in order to document one or more of their activities. The film processing is paid for by Student Life and Leadership and the clubs are provided with copies of the pictures as well as the pictures on CD to use on their website, in publications, etc.

·         Fall 2004: We are working towards putting the travel documents for student clubs online so that the forms can be completed more quickly and easily and then stored in a database for future trips.
