Administration of Justice Program
Needs help in administering assessment instrumen the American Justice
Studies classes. This position would be classified as an Assessment Research
Assistant. Volunteers would have to be good at following instructions,
and must possess excellent communication skills in the English language.

Communications/American Sign Language/Theatre/Reading
Needs help with answering phones, running errands for the secretary
and instructors, and with word processing projects as well. Volunteers

Needs help with general office duties including filing, typing, mailings,
phones, etc. This position provides an opportunity to learn a little

Phonathon events, and volunteers for orientation events or other campus

All Star Kids Tutoring
Wanted: Volunteers who love reading and working with children! Become
an All-Star Kids Tutor and help an elementary student improve his or her

Alzheimer's Association
Looking for volunteers who would like to use their artistic skills to
paint along with individuals with Alzheimer's disease. Work with staff
to create a relaxed environment where people with memory loss feel comfortable
expressing themselves through painting. Full training and materials are

Need Clerical Volunteers to assist staff and to help prepare packets from
the Arizona Rapid Response Team for families who have been recently laid

City Of Glendale: Volunteer Code Compliance Inspectors
Inspectors perform field and office work to ensure compliance with city
codes related to sign and vehicle for sale requirements. Main duties are
performed using a City vehicle, making determinations of sign and vehicle
for sale code violations. Removal of signs and affixing warning stickers
onto vehicles are the main duties. A 20-30 hour per month commitment is

Poverty Housing
Currently working on development of a 39-acre site for future home development.
Build in Glendale. Also need office angels with good phone skills; can

between Southern and Baseline, west of 16th St. Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Japanese Friendship Garden
Volunteers needed in the following areas, which are not mutually exclusive.
As a Garden Docent: Share the beauty and tranquility of the Garden
by leading, or assisting with, informative tours to garden visitors. These
tours may be part of the Open Public Hours every Sunday afternoon, or
part of the Public or School Tea Ceremonies held once monthly. Audience
ranges in age from 5 to 95. Volunteer Gardeners: Early on the first
Saturday of each month, expert and novice gardeners alike come together
to work within the beauty of the Japanese Friendship Garden by pruning,
planting, and maintaining the health of the many varieties of plants.
Volunteers receive comprehensive training, and are partnered with experienced
volunteers. Volunteer as often as you like, but we request a minimum commitment

Make-A-Wish Foundation Of Central & Southern Arizona
Bilingual (English-Spanish) interpreters, age 18 and over, needed to accompany
Make-A-Wish volunteers to meet with Wish Children & families. Background

and weekends. Interpreters may be called upon to help with phone conversations
