PC Spring Leadership Workshop: Friday, 2/4/05: Choose to participate in 2 morning workshops, 2 afternoon workshops or all four! Planned topics will include Fundraising 101, Leadership and Your Resume, Learning your Leadership Style, Effective Communication, Effecive Meetings. PC Spring Leadership Trip: Saturday, 2/5/05:Join us on a trip to Educational Endeavors, located in the Superstition Mountains for a day of teambuilding, personal growth and learning about leadership! We will be participating in interactive teambuilding games. Individuals will also have the chance to challenge themselves on one or more of the high ropes activities. "Fit for Leadership", MCCD Fall Leadership Spring Workshop: September 17, 2004: Day-long leadership workshop for club officers throughout the MCCD district. Discuss best practices and attend programs on Event Planning, Fundraising, Meeting Management, Time Management and Maricopa 101. Limited seats! Student Leadership Fall Retreat: October 1-3, 2004: Students from Phoenix College, Mesa, Chandler-Gilbert, and Gateway Community Colleges will participate in a three-day leadership retreat at Camp Shadow Pines in Heber, AZ. Activities will include workshop sessions on topics such as Learning Your Leadership Style, Event Planning, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, teambuilding activities, and networking with the students from other colleges. The cost of the retreat is $20.00. Limited space! Please RSVP to the Office of Student Life and Leadership by Friday, September 24th. Presidential Debate: October 13, 2003, 6:00 p.m., Bears' Den: Watch the broadcast of the 2004 Presidential Debate followed by a discussion led by PC faculty. The calendar of events includes: Tuesday 10/19: Bear Claws and Coffee: A retiree-new employee breakfast social Tuesday 10/19: Campus-Wide Department Decorating Contest Wednesday 10/20: Annual Pep Rally for students, faculty, and staff Thursday 10/21: All-Employee Ice-Cream Social and the results of the Decorating Contest announced! Thursday 10/22: Phoenix College History Makers 6th Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Dinner & Auction Saturday 10/23: Homecoming football game: Phoenix College versus Pima Community College HBCU Fair: October 27, 2004: College fair and workshops sponsored by the Black Student Union. Winter Holiday Decorating Contest: beginning November 15, 2004: Tour campus to see the Winter Holiday Displays created by the student clubs celebrating the diversity of our student population. Holiday Heroes Blood Drive: Wednesday, November 24, 2004: The holiday season brings the highest demand for blood donations and yet due to busy schedules, has the lowest turnout for regular donations. Phoenix College sponsors the Holiday Heroes Blood Drive to help meet this community need! In 2003, Phoenix College collected a record 45 units of blood! Spend an hour donating blood and help safe a life!
