NCA Testing Center Info The Testing Center is where students go when someone told them they had to go take a test before they could enroll in English, math, and reading courses. The centers are in direct communication with many other offices on campus and have a direct impact on when and how long it could take a student to reach their collegiate or career goals. To aid in this the Testing Center gives a student a Score Report indicating what course is appropriate for the score on that test. . The course placement test scores are used to help students start their course work at an appropriate level for success. Also on the Score Report the student is directed to an advisor appropriate for the major they have indicated with the location and phone number listed. Data collected from the incoming students can be used to provide information for strategic planning. Data can be provided to faculty on percentages of students testing into beginning, intermediate or advanced English, math or reading courses. Appropriate numbers of courses could then be offered based on student needs. In addition to course placement, PC Testing Center provides GED, which can be used to qualify for Financial Aid and transfer to universities, Nursing Entrance Exams, required by nursing students before entering into the Nursing Program, ACT, SAT, LSAT and numerous other standardized tests are also offered to aid students in pursuing other professional and educational goals. The PC Testing Center also provides proctored tests for faculty members and external customers needing services outside the traditional venue. PC Testing Center provides the first of many tests students will take throughout their college experience. |
