Student Life and Leadership Mission The mission of
the Office of Student Life and Leadership is to serve the needs of
students in leadership development, campus and community involvement,
and group interaction. On campus, students can participate in over 25 different student organizations. Off-campus opportunities also exist. For instance, the office takes students on a three-day off-campus Student Leadership Retreat in the fall. The retreat is aimed at students that are not already in leadership positions or actively involved in campus life as a way of encouraging them to participate in campus life when they return to campus. In 2003, of the students that attended, four returned to become presidents of student clubs, two others became club officers, one became a Phoenix College Ambassador, and several others attained scholarships or became involved in other aspects of campus life. Student club officers also participate in two district-wide leadership retreats that are held off-campus. |
