the third violation, the student's privilege to use the lab

1. Only students enrolled
in Business classes may use the Businesopen lab. A current
Phoenix College student ID is required for open lab use. Appropriate
course registration will be verified.
2. Lab use is intended
only for the completion of course work. Personal work of any
kind is not allowed.
3. No food or drinks are permitted at any time in the labs.
Tables are available outside the labs for placing drinks and
other items that are not permitted.
4. Dependant children are not allowed in the lab. The lab
is only for the use of registered business students.
5. In keeping with a professional atmosphere, please speak

6. Do not attempt to fix or adjust the computer systems or printers.
If your machine is malfunctioning, please ask any lab assistant
or faculty that is on duty for assistance.
7. Students may only use application software that is expressly
required by a course assignment.
8. Students may not store files on or delete
files from the machine's hard disk.
9. Students may not install or uninstall any application software
at any time.
10. Students may not copy computer files or application software
from any computer system. It is illegal.
11. Students may not reconfigure system or application settings.
If the system needs resetting, please request assistance from a
lab assistant or faculty on duty. Do not alter the windows desktop
settings.
12. Students may not play any computer games.
13. Cell phone use is not permitted in the lab. Leave the lab when
you receive a call and complete your conversation before returning
to the lab.
14. Students may only use the Internet for course-related research
purposes. Visiting XXX-rated sites, and participating in chat rooms
is strictly prohibited.
15. The role of the lab assistant is to monitor student usage of
the lab, assist students in using the computer systems, troubleshoot
and repair hardware problems, and make sure the lab is operational.
It is not the role of the lab assistant to provide in-depth course
instruction or one-on-one tutoring. If you are having trouble with
a course assignment, you must seek help from the faculty on duty
or from the instructor of your course.
16. The lab is provided to support learning by giving the students
access to computer systems and application software appropriate
to their particular course of study. Any other use of the lab is
strictly prohibited.
