COMMAS

 

Rule #3
Commas and Interjections

Rule: Use a comma after an interjection to separate it from the rest of the sentence.

An interjection is a word or words that expresses emotion. The interjection usually comes at the beginning of the sentence.

          Examples:

                Well, I never knew that comma rule.

                Oh, we went the wrong way.

                Heck, it was a great essay
