Rule #2 Commas and Yes and No |
Rule: Use a comma to separate yes and no from the rest of the sentence.
Yes and No are answers and come at the beginning of the sentence.
Examples:
Yes,
I will write an essay.
No, I won't.
Okay,
you convinced me.
*Writing Tip:
Don't use a comma if yes and no are part of the sentence.
Examples:
No is the wrong answer.
She wanted him to say yes after she invited him to lunch.
