8. Posterior teeth can be painted with varnish, also, as a preventive measure if it is possible to do so on a cooperative child.

9. Advise the parent/caretaker that the varnish is slightly yellow and that it may be visible for a few hours. Request that the child's teeth not be brushed until the next day in order to preserve the varnish coating as long as possible.
