The Bears dropped game one 6-5 as Western scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh and final inning. Swisher Leads Bears Past South Mountain 2-1 - Damion Swisher earned the victory after pitching 8.1 innings og eight-hit ball at South Mountain. Swisher allowed just one run and a walk while striking out eight. Nate Moore drove in both runs for PC in the ACCAC victory. | Boxscore |

Glendale Wins with Late Run Against Bears - PC grabbed the lead with a run in the third inning and Glendale tied the score with a run of its own in the fourth. The game remained tied into the eight inning when the homestanding Gauchos plated a run in the bottom of the inning for a 2-1 victory. | Boxscore |

Smith, DiPaolo Lead PC Past Glendale - Judson Smith pitched Phoenix to a 4-1 victory over Glendale with a complete game, six-hit, eight-strikeout performance. Nick DiPaolo went 3-for-4 with a homerun to lead the Bears at the plate. | Boxscore |

Matt Martinez Pitches Well in PC Defeat - Matt Martinez pitched a 7-inning complete game, allowing just four hits, one run and no walks while striking out five. Unfortunately, Martinez received no run support as three Yavapai pitchers held the Bears to just three hits in a 1-0 PC loss. In game two, the Bears spotted Arizona Western five runs in the first three innings before mounting a comeback. PC Battles Before Falling to South Mountain - Phoenix College and South Mountain tangled in a pair of ACCAC battles over the weekend. In the series opened, the Bears outhit South Mountain 12-8 but fell short on the scoreboard 6-4. Miscues Continue to Cost Bears in Loss at Glendale - Phoenix dropped its 10th consecutive game as the Bears gave up six walks and committed four errors in a 5-4 loss at Glendale. Eastern Arizona Sweep Three Game ACCAC Series - In three close, high scoring games, Eastern Arizona swept the ACCAC series from the Bears. Eastern won game one 10-9 with four runs in the seventh inning, In game two, the Bears scored four runs in the top of the sixth to take the lead before Eastern scored twice in the bottom of the same inning and went on to a 9-8 win. PC Sweeps Wenatchee Valley - The Bears scored a doubleheader sweep of Wenatchee Valley College, winning the opener 10-9 and the nightcap 2-1. In the opener, Mike Trojanek pitched eight inning in relief as the Bears overcame a 6-1 defecit to win in the 11th inning. Chandler-Gilbert's Van Slyke Outduels Bears' Swisher - In a classic pitchers duel, Chandler-Gilbert's Eric Van Slyke pitched a complete game, six-hit shutout 2-0 victory over Damion Swisher and Phoenix College. Swisher pitched well in eight innings, allowing just the two runs while scattering nine hits. The two battled to a scoreless tie through the first 7.5 innings before Chandler-Gilbert plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth. | Boxscore |

PC Defeats Chandler-Gilbert in Extra Innings - The Bears defeated Chandler-Gilbert 5-4 in 10 innings to set up a game-three showdown to win the three-game set. The opener saw the Bears allow just two earned runs while committing a pair of errors that allowed the other four Mesa runs. College of Southern Idaho No Hits Bears - Starter Andrew Shive and reliever Sean Loglisci combined for a 7-inning no-hitter as the Golden Eagles defeated the Bears 3-0. PC didi not get an opportunity to gain a split as the second game of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out. | Boxscore |

PC & Central Arizona Call Series Due to Rain - Rain was the only winner in a three-game series hat was to start on Friday against Central Arizona. The games have been rescheduled for March 15 & 16.

Hasler, El Paso CC Score Victory Over Bears - Gregory Hasler allowed PC just five hits and walked none in seven innings of work as El Paso scored an 11-1 victory over the Bears. Boxscore

Phoenix Scores Come-From-Behind Victory - The Bears fell behind 6-3 after three innings before scoring a 9-7 victory over Eastern Utah. Damion Swisher allowed just three hits and struck out 11 in six innings of relief to pick upi the win. Boxscore

Bears Rally Falls Short Against South Mountain: After falling behind 7-0, the Bears mounted a comeback but fell short in a 9-6 loss to South Mountain. Freshman Dustin Hennis led Phoenix at the plate with a perfect 5-for-5 night. Boxscore

PC Falls to Fullerton 2-1: Fullerton scored the game winner in the top of the ninth inning in a pitchers duel against PC. Dominic DiDomizio allowed just five hits and one run over seven inings, but the Bears managed just six hits against three Fullerton pitchers. Boxscore

Bears Open 2005 Season with Victory Over Salt Lake City CC: The Phoenix College baseball squad opened the 2005 season with a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Salt Lake City Community College. With the game tied 2-2 entering the bottom of the eight, the Bears plated three runs and held on in the ninth for the victory. Boxscore

Former PC Baseball Player Prewit Killed in Iraq: Tyler Prewitt wasa member of the Bears baseball team at the time of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. This led Prewitt to the Army, where he served until being killed in action in Iraq. More
