Central Arizona pitcher Josh Spence has
been selected the ACCAC Player of the Year for the second
straight season while Yavapai Head Coach Sky Smeltzer is the
2008 ACCAC Coach of the Year. Coach Smeltzer has earned this

CAC's Honeycutt Selected
NJCAA Player of the Week Central
Arizona's Ryan Honeycutt has been selected the NJCAA Division
I National Player of the Week for the week ending March 19th.
Honeycutt, a freshman from Las Cruces, NM, helped lead Central
to three victories on the week by batting .667 (10-15) and
driving in 10 runs. His best performance came when he went
4-for-5 at the plate with five RBI. Of his four hits, two
were doubles and he also scored two runs and was credited
with a stolen base. Honeycutt also pitched one scoreless inning
in CAC's 8-1 win over El Paso Community College (Texas).

I Awards Announced for 2008 The
NJCAA Region I Division I Batter of the Week is Central Arizona's
Ryan Honeycutt, while Arizona Western's Derek Benham is the
Division 1 Pitcher of the Week. In Division 2, the Pitcher
