4th at NJCAA Championships North
Idaho College defeated Chandler-Gilbert 3-2 to take third
place at the 2008 NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer National
Championship Tournament. Carissa Lafevers and Kayla Poe scored
second half goals for CGCC.
Top-Seed Darton College
Tops Chandler-Gilbert Darton
College (23-0-1) defeated Chandler-Gilbert (20-2-1) 2-0 in
the semifinal round of the 2008 NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer
Championships. CGCC will play in the third place match on
Sunday at Noon against #7 seed North Idaho College.

Schoolcraft (MI) in NJCAA Opener Chandler-Gilbert
(20-1-1), the #5 seed, defeated #4 seed Schoolcroft (10-3-3)
2-1 in the opening round of the 2008 NJCAA Division I Women's

Honor Pima keeper Lauren
Heiman scored a pair of shutout wins to garner the NJCAA Nationsl
Keeper of the Week honor. Pima defeated South Mountain 6-0
abd Glendale 14-0 on the week.

ACCAC Honors Pima won
a pair of matches by a combined 20-0
score. Leading the way was the ACCAC Player of the Week Brooke
Schmeiter and the ACCAC Keeper of the Week Lauren Heiman.

Walworth Selected National
Keeper of the Week Jessie
Walworth posted nine saves and a pair of wins to be selected
the NJCAA's National Keeper of the Week for the week ending
September 28th. She had ywo saves in a 2-0 win over Cochise
and seven saves in a 2-1 victory over Pima.

Marshall and Jessie Walworth earned ACCAC Player and Keeper

Lafevers
Named NJCAA National Player of the Week Chandler-Gilbert's
Carissa Lafevers has been selected the NJCAA Division I Co-Player
of the Week fir the week ending September 6, 2008. The Gilbert,
AZ, native had seven goals and three assists for 17 points
in just two games. She had three goals and an assists against
South Mountain and four goals and two assists against Glendale.

Harris Earn Weekly Awards Carissa
Lafevers scored seven goals for Chandler-Gilbert to earn the
ACCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week award. Phoenix College's
Arielle Harris posted a pair of wins with 16 saves to take
the ACCAC Keeper of the Week honor.

ACCAC Season Undefeated GateWay
has opened the 2008 season with three straight victories,
including two against ACCAC opposition. Leading the way for
