Scottsdale's Renetha Burton averaged an impressive 21 points and 21.5 rebounds in a pair of wins to earn the NJCAA Region I Division 1 honor. | more |

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL -- SMCC's Flemming Tabbed NJCAA D2 Player of the Week — South Mountain's Gianne Fleming was named the NJCAA Division 2 National Player of the Week for the week ending Janusary 17th. Fleming had 27 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Phoenix and then poured in 37 points and grabbed 10 boards in a loss Pima.
