self-development through support of personal responsibility and
integration of mind, body and spirit. |

you must be officially registered in a credit or non-credit Fitness
Center or Weight Training
class.

Demonstrate proper use of exercise equipment and perform a basic weight lifting routine.

Exercise Hours in the Fitness Center | 2 points per hour | 2 points per hour |

Descriptions of Point Values:
Exercise Hours in the Fitness Center: | You can earn points when you exercise in the fitness center. For every hour of exercise, you will receive 2 points. All students are required to present a Phoenix College ID card to gain access to the Fitness Center |
Off Campus Exercise: | A maximum of 10 hours (or 20 points) can be earned with documentation of off campus exercise. For example, hiking on the weekend, walking the dog, etc. |
Wellness Lectures: | Wellness lectures are worth 2 points each. Please refer to the schedule for dates and times of lectures. Various lectures are also available on the web at: |
Smart Start Lectures: |
Wellness lectures noted as Smart Start are special sessions that are designed to get you started on your personal exercise program. (max. of 8 points). http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/departments/help/wellness/ |
Article Review: | Points can be obtained by completing article reviews. A list of acceptable articles and specific format will be available in the fitness center. |
Personal Progress Log (PPL): | An extra 5 points can be earned at the end of the semester if your progress is documented consistently on your Personal Progress Log (PPL). |
