Comeback Falls Short for Scottsdale at NJCAA DII Baseball World Series — Kellogg (MI) CC built a 5-1 lead through the first three innings and held off Scottsdale for a 7-5 victory in the second round of the 2007 NJCAA Division II World Series. Scottsdale Captures District Title, Advances to NJCAA DII National Tournament — Scottsdale captured the NJCAA Southwest District Championship to advance to the 2007 NJCAA Division II National Championship Tournament in Millington, TN. The Artichokes swept through the District tourney by defeating Hesston (KS) in the opener and then Redlands (OK) 11-2 in the Championship game.| NJCAA Division II National Tournament |

Central Upsets Cochise for NJCAA Region I D1 Championship — Central Arizona, the #2 seed, defeated top-seeded Cochise 6-5 and 8-1 to sweep the best of three series and capture the 2770 NJCAA Region I Division 1 Championship. Central will now travel to Lamar, CO, as Lamar Community College won the Region IX Championship and will host the Western Regional District Championship. The three-team tourney will also include Western Nevada Community College, the Region 18 Champion. Cochise, Central Arizona to Meet for NJCAA Region I Division II Crown — Top seed Cochise and #2 seed Central Arizona each survived the opening round and will meet at Cochise May 10-12 for the NJCAA Region I Division I Championship in a best two out of three series. Scottsdale Earns NJCAA Region I Division II Title — The Scottsdale Artichoks defeated Mesa 6-3 in game three of the best of three series to capture the NJCAA Region I Division II Championship. Scottsdale now advances to host the NJCAA District Playoffs with the opportunity to advance to the NJCAA Division II National Championships. SCC will host the champions from Region 2 (Oklahoma) and Region 6 (Kansas) in a double elimination format on May 17-19. 17 ACCAC Players Taken in 2006 MLB Draft — The strength of ACCAC baseball was apparent in the 2006 Major League Baseball draft as 17 players were selected from member schools. Scottsdale, Chandler-Gilbert and South Mountain led the way with three players each selected.
