Directors,
Thank you so much for attending the Directors meeting on Assessment last week. We had wonderful attendance, (almost 100% of the Directors were represented in some way).

As I said in the notes, Outcome #2 on Professional Behaviors was adopted by the group. A few important points that were decided upon are as follows:
1. Programs may use the rubric presented, (which is attached to this memo), or they can develop their own.
2. Programs may use al l of the behaviors on the rubric, or they may chose to measure just a few. Whatever suits your program. The important point is that professional behaviors are being assessed.
3. And finally, the deadlines for both outcomes data has been moved to the summer, as many programs do their data collection and analysis in the summer.

I have attached the rubric on professional behaviors as well as the matrix for measuring the outcome to this memo. It will be posted on the WEB just like the other outcome. And you can e-mail your matrices to Emily Lander, the same as you did for the first outcome. We will look for the first matrices on outcome #2 in Sept. of 2004, so please initiate some sort of measurement next semester so you have data to post. Remember, you can always add different measurements or add to the ones you already have in the years to come. (many programs already are measuring professional behaviors via skill sheets, etc. and can look at things they already are doing and analyze that) The data on this outcome will be collected yearly, as is outcome #1. AND most importantly, the changes that you make in your program as a result of the data are very important and need to be stated at the bottom of the matrix where it says, changes made in the program as a result of the data collected.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me. I realize it can be confusing at times but I'm happy that most people are understanding the concepts and importance of the information.

thanks again,
I'll set up another " Directors get together" next semester and we can share our challenges and accomplishments!!!!
