Notes, Occupational Steering Committee - Jan. 28, 2002

thanks everyone (I'm meeting with Jeremy tomorrow)

Outcome statement #2
Students graduating from an occupational program at PC will be able to identify professional workforce behaviors.

Ask directors if they would agree on this as the second outcome.
Agreement from all, buy in

Ask Jeremy what he thinks, different word?

Bring to program on Friday for a better word than identify

Pilot (Part One)
ask director/faculty what the 10 most important professional behaviors are
ask students same thing
compare data

develop rubric/matrix/survey

Part Two
give survey to students in courses

In the Fall of 02 individual Directors meeting were set up with Program Directors. The BLUE Outcome Assessment Book of PC Occupational Program was finalized and sent to all Directors. This will be updated yearly.


Occupational Steering Committee Meeting - March 3, 2003

Present: Kristin Anderson, Diane Stark, and Helen Houser
Absent: Kay Hilder

Discussion centered on the second Outcomes Assessment statement.

The committee agreed Professional Behaviors. Kristin will e-mail the Directors and ask for their input.

Resume Writing was also discussed however it was agreed that this wasn't an outcome but more an objective.

Behaviors in the workplace or professional behaviors will be explored.

Kristin will set up a meeting for all Occ. Directors to discuss this outcome.

Meeting set for April 7 and 8, invitation sent.
