General Assessment Committee Meeting for February.
The next general meeting is cancelled. The team again discussed the possibility of combining the General Assessment Committee and the Departmental Liaison group, or replacing the Assessment Committee with the Liaison group. It is critical to have representation from all areas, regardless of the committee structure. This is a recurring issue: should liaisons be required to have liaison assessment as their committee assignment.

Assessment Day April 13th:
This is rescheduled for April 20th, as April 13th is Good Friday.
Lunch is at 12:30 PM and the work session begins at 1 PM sharp.

Committee Updates:
- The Writing Committee reviewed the results from December assessment day.
- Numeracy training was attended by several faculty.
- Oral Presentations Committee has received a tape from the communication association.
- ESL Committee will hold training on April 30, 1:30 pm, B159.

PC Presentation at Governing Board Feb. 13th:
Judy Boschult, Pam Rogers, Betsy Frank and Georgia Gudykunst will present at the poster session.
Brent Jameson and several NFO's will also attend.

Diversity Workshop Reminder:
The workshop, focused on teaching and learning, is scheduled for Feb. 22, 1 PM - 5 PM.
It will be geared toward faculty and those who work closely to support students everyday, and those involved in supporting the instructional component of the Title V grant.

Additionally, the district is offering an all-day workshop on diversity with the same facilitators
at SMC.
