Attendance: Brent Jameson, Chairperson; Judy Boschult, Kristin Anderson, Maria Enciso, Betsy Frank, Georgia Gudykunst, Kory Merkel.

PC Presentation at Governing Board Poster Session , Feb. 13th:
Judy Boschult, Pam Rogers, Betsy Frank, Brent Jameson, Georgia Gudykunst, Marian Tadano and Joseph Kimbuende presented or participated in the poster session on assessment at the colleges. The sessions were very informal with individuals stopping in every several minutes. All colleges had displays and one college provided a brief Power Point presentation. The district group discouraged any lengthy formal presentations, and thus most colleges provided visual displays.

There were a number of faculty generally from every college, and others dropping in at the poster session. It was evident that all colleges were making progress on their assessment efforts from
the previous year.

Diversity Workshop Reminder:
The workshop is scheduled for Feb. 22, 1 PM - 5 PM. Steering Team members are encouraged to attend. It will be geared toward faculty and those who work closely to support students as well as those involved in provided or supporting the instructional component of the Title V grant. The district is sponsoring an all-day workshop on diversity with the same facilitators at SMC on Feb. 23.

Issues on Getting Instructors To Turn in Student Work Samples.
The team got bogged down on focusing on a specific outcome committee, rather than assessment college-wide/ samples.

Also, the critical pieces of information needed on student work samples are: student name,
Course/section. (Date would be helpful but optional.)
