Phoenix College advances over Shawnee in Game 16 of Division II Softball Championship

The Phoenix College Lady Bears took one step closer to defending their title by defeating Shawnee College (IL) 6-0 this morning in the 2001 NJCAA Division II Women’s Softball Championship Tournament in Phoenix.
Jaimie Godin followed Susan Aguilar’s strong pitching performance last night with a gem of her own, tossing a complete-game shutout over the Lady Saints.
PC next takes on Kankakee (IL) Community College for the right to play Lansing (MI) in the championship game.
