Our initial President's Roundtable event was held on March 31, 2003. A clear purpose emerged from our inaugural effort and a consensus evolved to support one of the seven Strategic Initiatives identified within the Phoenix College Strategic Plan. The selected initiative is "Partnering with Business and Community."

Phase V
Showcase of Partnerships

September 20, 2004

On September 20, 2004, Phoenix College hosted the President's Roundtable. Over 100 participants were

in attendance, including members of the Phoenix College family, District employees, and members from the

community at large. The event, titled "Showcase of Partnerships" included a keynote address by Michael

Bassoff, President of the TGen Foundation who gave a speech on how his company has forged

partnerships in order to carry its mission to bring hope to families with cancer, neurological disorders, and

diabetes. The workshops that followed centered on Education, Business and Industry, Healthcare, Arts and

Entertainment, and Mass Communications. As part of the workshops, participants were able to witness the

variety of partnerships Phoenix College has established with other government and educational institutions,

business and industry and community organizations.
