Phoenix College’s open admission policy encourages all students to explore the many educational opportunities available at the college.  You are eligible for admission if you:

  • have graduated from high school
  • are a transfer student from another college or university
  • have completed a GED or other high school equivalency diploma
  • are 18 years of age or older
  • are a current high school student and have permission from the high school,  your parents and the college Admissions Office.

Step One

Submit Student Information Form
This is the equivalent of an Admission Application. The Student Information Form may be completed online using the Phoenix College Online Services or downloading the form in PDF format. The Student Information Form must be submitted to Admissions & Records before taking any placement tests.

  • Deliver completed form to Admissions and Records (AR Building)
  • Mail completed form to Admissions and Records:
    1202 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85013
  • Fax completed form to Admissions and Records: (602) 285-7813

Step Two

Apply for Financial Aid
Students interested in receiving financial assistance should apply at least 4-6 weeks before the start of the semester in which they plan to attend. The Financial Aid Code for Phoenix College is 001078. For more information contact the Financial Aid Office at (602) 285-7410 or visit the office in the Hannelly Center, Main Floor.

Step Three

Request Transcripts
Send for other college/university official transcripts if seeking a degree or as needed for advisement.

Step Four

Submit Transcript Evaluation Request to Admissions & Records
If you have attended another college or university and plan to use those courses for your program of study, submit your transcript evaluation request to Admissions & Records. For more information call Admissions & Records at (602) 285-7502.

Step Five

Take Placement Test
Testing is highly recommended prior to meeting with an advisor. This may be required before course registration. Click here to learn more about the course placement testing.

Step Six

Choose Courses
It is highly recommended that every student meet with an academic advisor before registering for courses, and should continue to meet with an advisor each semester prior to registration. Academic advisors are available year-round at no cost to students. The academic advisor will assist in completing the Registration/Course Enrollment form. Students with disabilities are encouraged to register with the Disability Resource Center.

Students who are not sure of their major can visit the Counseling Center for assistance in selecting a career or a major.  For more information call 602/285-7392.

Step Seven

Submit Registration/Course Enrollment Form
There are four convienent ways to register for classes at Phoenix College:

  1. Online Registration
    Use the Phoenix College Online Services. Your must have a PIN. If you do not have a PIN, follow the instructions on the "Login/Logout Information" page to set one up for the first time. If you encounter any problems registering online, call the Admissions and Records office at (602) 285-7777 for assistance.
  2. Walk-in Registration
    Students may register in person at the Phoenix College Admissions and Records office.
  3. Telephone Registration*

    Touch-Tone (480) 731-8255
    Telephone registration is available Monday –Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m. (hours may be vary during Semester breaks or Summer)
