International Artist Kicks Off Lecture Series At Phoenix College
Reyes will speak to Valley residents about his experiences on September 18 at 5:30 p.m. when he kicks off an International Education Lecture Series by discussing The "Art" of a Real Life Adventure. The event is free and open to the public. "Hard work and a love of art has opened up many doors for me," said Reyes. "I have traveled to exciting places and worked with world renowned artists and set designers. Sharing my experiences will encourage others to strive to be their best . . . there are no boundaries." Highlights of his presentation include: A discussion on creating the Orcs, Uruk-hai masks and prosthetic body parts used during the filming of Lord of the Rings, his travel to the United Arab Emirates where he participated in "Education without Borders 2003" by producing a breathtaking mural and his upcoming projecta mural on the walls of the Charleville Castle in Tullamore, Ireland. This exciting series of lectures is presented by The International Education Committee at Phoenix College. The committee serves to promote international awareness among students and community members by featuring selected lecturers every month. The "Art" of a Real
