International Caravan for Justice Makes Stop at Phoenix College

WHAT:
The Mexico Solidarity Network and Amnesty International will host the International Caravan for Justice, a bi-national effort to raise awareness about the devastation surrounding the murders and disappearances of more than 380 women in Juarez and Chihuahua, Mexico.

Visit the International Caravan for Justice as it stops in Phoenix, on its way to the twin border cities of El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico.

Guest speakers with the Caravan will include Ramona Morales, mother of femicide victim Silvia Elena Rivera Morales, who was killed in 1995 and Jessica Marques, representative of the Mexico Solidarity Network. Marques will discuss the influence of globalization and neo-liberal economic policies on these femicides.

Participants with the Caravan will conclude their journey with a border
march from El Paso to Juarez on Nov. 1, the Day of the Dead.

Requested donation of $1 to $5.
