NOW AVAILABLE: All-USA Academic Team Scholarship Applications
(Application Deadline - Nov. 21)

(PHOENIX, Ariz., Nov. 6, 2003) – Attention students: do you have what it takes to make the All-USA Academic Team? If you have a 3.2 GPA and demonstrate campus involvement and community service, you are encouraged to apply.

Sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, the American Association of Community Colleges and USA Today, the All-USA Academic Team Scholarship program recognizes scholarly achievements and leadership accomplishments of students enrolled in community, technical and junior colleges. The scholarship is for students graduating between December 2003 and June 2004 and applicants do not have to be members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).

Two students will be selected to represent Phoenix College on the All-Arizona Team and will receive up to $1,000 from the college and a full tuition Regents’ Scholarship to attend any of the three Arizona universities. In addition, those students selected for All-USA First Team will receive a $2,500 cash stipend from Phi Theta Kappa and USA Today and their photo will appear in USA Today next April.

Applications are available in the Alumni/Scholarship Office on the Osborn Campus, the Honors Office in the Dalby Building, Financial Aid Office and from PTK advisors – Mike Murphy and Richard Cortes.
