AZ's Intangible Heritage: Exploring the Less Obvious Through Native American Traditions and Customs


(PHOENIX, Ariz., May 10, 2004) - Phoenix College is proud to be one of the sponsors of the Arizona’s Invisible Heritage: Exploring the Less Obvious Through Native American Traditions and Customs event at the Arizona Capitol Museum on Tuesday, May 11. The event, which begins at 12 p.m. in the Carnegie Center – First Floor, celebrates International Museum Day.

Featured guest speaker of the event, Herb Stevens, manager of the San Carlos Apache Cultural Center will discuss several aspects of the intangible culture from a native people’s perspective, including creating music, dance and arts/crafts. He will also address preserving the Apache language.

Other sponsors of the event include the Arizona Capitol Museum, Pueblo Grande Museum, Tempe Historical Museum and SRP.
