Adjunct Faculty Receives Prestigious Dental Hygiene Award

Phoenix College Dental Hygiene adjunct faculty, Debby Kurtz-Weidinger was awarded the prestigious 2003 Irene Newman Professional Achievement Award by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.

The award recognizes Kurtz-Weidinger’s outstanding achievement in advancing the art and science of dental hygiene. Her remarkable career in dental hygiene, which has been marked by her participation in ADHA and significant contributions in public health and education, reveals her true dedication to the field of dental hygiene.

She will receive a $1,000 cash award, a one-year ADHA membership and will be recognized at the ADHA Annual Session in New York City.

"Debby is so deserving of this award and I am most proud of her and her accomplishments," said Karen Christen, Dental Programs.
