BEAR DAY - Phoenix College Spring Fling for 2005 (PHOENIX, Ariz. March 4, 2005) -- Come celebrate PC pride on Bear Day at Phoenix College. Bear Day is a tradition that dates back to 1924, and the event allows students to celebrate their school spirit with games, food, music and contests. Bear Day will be held on Wednesday, March 9 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Sophomore Square. This year, Bear Day will have a sports theme, and it will include basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping-pong, a baseball fast pitch radar, wacky tricycles, caricaturists and many other games and contests. The Phoenix College Pep Band and Jazz Band will perform along with contests and carnival games that are sponsored by different PC clubs. The event is open to everyone, and students, staff and faculty are encouraged to come show their school spirit. Bear Day is sponsored by Student life and Leadership.
