Interior Design Club to Hold "Designer Yard Sale" April 3

(PHOENIX, Ariz., March 4, 2004) – From home furnishings to unusual trinkets, the Phoenix College American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) student chapter will have a plethora of unique finds at their annual ASID Designer Yard Sale on Saturday, April 3.

The sale, which will take place in the Town & Country Shopping Central Parking lot (20th Street and Camelback), will get underway at 8 a.m. and will conclude at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the sale will support the Sojourner Center and the Phoenix College ASID student chapter.

During last year’s event, they raised more than $2,500.

"Last year’s sale was a huge success," said Ken Roberts, Phoenix College Interior Design faculty and ASID advisor. "The students collected merchandise from local design firms and home furnishing retailers, and included such items as a large contemporary dinning table, yards upon yards of upholstery and drapery fabrics, lamps, tile and other accessories. It truly is a great event…you never know what you will find."

The event is free and open to the public.
