Mobile On-site Mammography Screening Comes to Phoenix College

(PHOENIX, Ariz., March 4, 2004) – The Phoenix College Health and Wellness Committee will join forces with Mobile On-site Mammography or "M.O.M." to provide on-site breast cancer screening from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Phoenix College Administration parking lot (11th Ave. and Thomas) on March 29.

M.O.M. is focused on providing the highest quality of Mammography service with professional experienced staff, using the latest Mammography technology for safety and comfort.

Insurance coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and other select carriers will be accepted. However, the fee for non-insured patients is $112.35, which includes the radiologist reading. In addition to the regular interpretation by the radiologist, the R-2 computerized reading will also be offered for $24, which is also covered by BCBS.

Patients participating in the on-site screening are asked to bring the following with them to the appointment.

--insurance card
--doctor’s name and address
--location name of prior mammogram

Patients under the age of 35 must provide a referral from their doctor. Baseline mammograms start at age 35-39, and most insurance plans cover women every year over the age of 40.

It is important to note that this service does not accommodate implant patients. Implant patients will need to contact M.O.M.’s Tempe Office location.

To schedule an appointment, call (480) 967-3767. For questions, please call (602) 285-7708.
