(PHOENIX, Ariz., July 19, 2004) – Five Phoenix College softball players will move on to the next level and play at four-year institutions next fall. These athletes were awarded scholarships for their athletic ability and academic success.

The following five athletes have received scholarships to play at four-year schools. They include:

Ashley Bray – Tarleton State College (Texas)

Samantha Zadel – Barry University (Florida)
Major: Communications
3.89 GPA

“My two years on the Phoenix College Softball team has literally been the best years of my life,” said Zadel. “Thanks to Coach Mueller’s guidance, our team was like one big family. I’m excited and now feel ready to move on to the next level.”

“These women have been extraordinary individuals,” said Heinz Mueller, Phoenix College head softball coach. “They were absolutely terrific to be around…on and off the field.
