Phoenix College Offers Computer Courses in Spanish at Downtown Location

(PHOENIX, Ariz., July 19, 2005) - Phoenix College will offer five evening computer classes in Spanish this Fall at its Downtown site located in the heart of the city at 640 North 1st Ave.

The first class will begin Aug. 23; however, registration is currently underway and seating is limited. For more information on any of the following classes or to register, please call 602.285.7603.

Introduction to Computer Keyboarding (OAS 090)
6 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Every Tuesday - Aug. 23 - Sept. 6
Students will be introduced to computer keyboarding skills for their personal use. The course will concentrate on touch keyboarding of alphabetic and punctuation keys only.

Brief Introduction to Computers (BPC 005)
6 p.m. - 7:10 p.m.
Every Tuesday - Sept. 13-27
This is a brief introductory course concentrating on the fundamentals of computers. Topics will include hardware components, operating system characteristics, and basic software applications.

Using Windows (BPC 102 AD)
6 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Every Tuesday - Oct. 4-18
This course will concentrate on the basic commands and methods associated with the Windows operating system.

Using Word for Windows: Level I (BPC 103 AK)
6 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Every Tuesday - Oct. 25 - Nov. 8
Students will use Word to create, manipulate, and print documents on a microcomputer.

Using Excel: Level I (BPC 104 AD)
6 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Every Tuesday - Nov. 15-29
Students will use Excel to create, edit, save and print worksheets.
