PC Instructor Appointed to the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Paralegals Approval Commission


(PHOENIX, Ariz., July 27, 2005) - Scott A. Hauert, a member of the residential faculty in the Department of Legal Studies at Phoenix College, was recently appointed by Michael Greco, president-elect of the American Bar Association, to the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Paralegal Approval Commission.

Members of the commission serve three-year terms and are responsible for conducting site visits of schools seeking ABA-Approval/re-approval and making recommendations to the ABA Standing Committee on Paralegals.

Hauert is the second Program Director from Phoenix College to receive such an esteemed appointment. In addition to his faculty position, Hauert also serves as the Paralegal Studies Program Director.

Hauert received a J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law, a M.B.A. from the University of New Mexico and a B.S. degree in computer science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

He is currently a board member for the Maricopa County Bar Association - Paralegal Division. He previously served as a Deputy Maricopa County Attorney and as a judicial clerk to the Supreme Court of Arizona and the Arizona Court of Appeals.
