GED Ceremony Set For July 23 In Bulpitt

Phoenix College will host its first ever GED ceremony on Wednesday, July 23 in the Bulpitt Auditorium. The ceremony will honor the achievements of those individuals who successfully completed their GED at Phoenix College.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a reception; however, the ceremony will get underway at 7 p.m.

During the ceremony, two GED recipients will receive funding for one three-credit course at Phoenix College and one lucky person will win full funding for a semester at the college.

The honorees will also have the opportunity to receive information on the college’s programs and financial aid available.

"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to salute the GED recipients in accomplishing this very important step in their lives," said Rebecca Valenzuela, Director of Recruitment and Retention. "Phoenix Colleges offers a wealth of outstanding and innovative transfer, occupational and certificate programs and we look forward to providing enrollment assistance to the GED recipients as they continue their journey to higher education or a successful workplace."

Of the 42 testing centers throughout the state, the Phoenix College Assessment Department was recently recognized for being a "Model Test Center" and "Most Special Needs Accommodations Tests."

Congratulations to all those individuals receiving their GED.
