Phoenix College Fall Classes Begin August 23

(PHOENIX, Arizona, July 16, 2003) – Phoenix College, the first of the Maricopa Community Colleges, will kick off the Fall semester on Saturday, Aug. 23. However, most classes begin Monday, Aug. 25.

Whether a serious student seeking a certificate and/or associate degree, transferring credits to a four-year institution or exploring a class for fun, Phoenix College offers a number of traditional and nontraditional classes for virtually every student. Fall courses range from American Sign Language to Health and Wellness. Tuition is reasonable at $51 per credit hour.

For more than 80 years, students have taken advantage of the nationally recognized programs at Phoenix College including gerontology, dental hygiene, fire science, emergency medical technology, mathematics, art, graphic design, creative writing and administration of justice, as well as coursework leading to a university baccalaureate degree.

The Admissions & Records Office is open Monday – Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
