Registration Underway for Spring Semester at Phoenix College
Classes Start Jan. 17


(PHOENIX, Arizona, Jan. 7, 2004) – Phoenix College, the first of the Maricopa Community Colleges, will kick off the Spring semester on Saturday, Jan 17. However, most classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Whether a serious student seeking a certificate and/or associate degree, transferring credits to a four-year institution or exploring a class for fun, Phoenix College offers a number of traditional and nontraditional classes for virtually every student. With hundreds of classes to choose from, Spring courses range from Southwest Archaeology and Intercultural Communication to Assertiveness Training and Stress Management. Tuition is reasonable at $51 per credit hour.

For more than 80 years, students have taken advantage of the nationally recognized programs at Phoenix College including gerontology, dental hygiene, fire science, emergency medical technology, mathematics, art, graphic design, creative writing and administration of justice, as well as coursework leading to a university baccalaureate degree.

The Admissions & Records Office is open Monday – Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
