Theatre Department to Present Two Encore Performances of Harold Pinter's "The Caretaker"

(PHOENIX, Ariz., Jan. 23, 2004) – The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Region VIII Board of Governors has selected the Phoenix College Theatre Department’s production of Harold Pinter’s "The Caretaker" as an entrant in this year’s regional competition to be held in UC-San Bernardino from Feb. 9-15.

To prepare for the competition, the department will present two encore performances on Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Theatre One (classroom T-101).

These performances, which are open to the public for a suggested donation of $5 per ticket, will benefit the department’s scholarship program. However, only 60 seats are available and will be given out on a "first come, first served" basis. No reservations will be accepted.

If the regional presentation is well-received in San Bernardino, it is possible that the production will be selected to go on to the national competition held at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in May of this year.
