College Reaches Milestone - Receives first "Truly" ADA-Accessible Van
"This is a wonderful accomplishment," said Mitra Mehraban, Director of Special Services at Phoenix College. "Many individuals have devoted a substantial amount of time and effort towards reaching this important goal. This is truly a historical milestone for Phoenix College. Our campus and individuals with disabilities will reap the benefits for many years to come." The new van, which can be used by college staff, also provides transportation for students with disabilities to many college-related events, including campus tours, university visits and other school-related functions. It will greatly benefit students and staff with restricted mobility conditions, including individuals in wheelchairs. "We should take great pride in this accomplishment and the invaluable benefits that it will generate for all of us," added Mehraban. |
