Four Colleges Come Together to Update High School Officials on ACE Program

(PHOENIX, Ariz., Feb. 13, 2004) - On Thursday, Feb. 5 area high school principals, assistant principals and counselors gathered at Phoenix College to receive informative updates on their ACE students and their accomplishments from the four ACE programs at Phoenix College, Glendale Community College, South Mountain Community College and Gateway Community College.

This event, which brings a number of schools together to receive information and have their questions addressed, also contributes to the positive relationships established between community colleges and high schools. Maintaining and nurturing these relationships is essential to the success of the Maricopa ACE programs and its students.

Although PC-ACE works closely with Camelback High School, Central High School, Carl Hayden High School, North High School and Metro-Tech High School, many school officials from other high schools were also present at the event.

The Phoenix College ACE Program is currently in the process of selecting new recipients for the PC-ACE scholarship. Eighty students will be selected to participate in the Cohort III program and will graduate as the Class of 2006.
