Hot Off The Press: 2003 – 2004 Phoenix College Scholarship Booklet

by: Christy Skeen

It’s here and it’s hot off the press! That’s right students, don’t miss your opportunity to pick up the hottest commodity at Phoenix College – the 2003-2004 Scholarship Booklet.

Containing more than 150 local scholarships, the Phoenix College Scholarship Booklet may just help you cash in on a paid college education. Sound intriguing…we thought so! So don’t miss out – pick up your copy today!

Catering to all students, the revised booklet is designed in an easy-to-read format, allowing potential scholarship recipients to quickly decide on what scholarships specifically match their needs.

For example, the book lists the scholarship’s name, award amount, application deadline, criteria, minimum enrollment, minimum GPA and contact information. This format allows students to dedicate more time to the actual application process rather than the scholarship hunt.

The Office of Alumni & Development is pleased to announce that this year’s edition contains all the scholarships, which previously were divided among various publications. The booklet contains scholarships from the Maricopa Community College Foundation, Title V Program, Phoenix College Alumni Association, Arizona Community Foundation and more.

"We’re trying to make this process easier on the students…hopefully we’ve made it less confusing and time consuming," said Connie Nunn-Miller, scholarship coordinator.

Students can pick up a copy at the following locations:

--Financial Aid Office
--Fannin Library
--Admissions and Records
--Advisement/Transfer Center
--Re-Entry Center and International Student Center
--Counseling Center
--Alumni & Development - OSE 106
--Fitness Center

In addition to the scholarship booklet, the Office of Alumni & Development encourages students to stop by the two scholarship bulletin boards at least once a week to view the other scholarships available that are not listed in the booklet. These bulletin boards are located in the Hannelly Center, one just outside the Financial Aid Department in Main hallway and in the Financial Aid Office Reception area.
