Get
the facts, ask questions and stay healthy!
by: Christy Skeen
One in every four Americans
between the ages of 15 and 55 will contract at least one sexually transmitted
disease this year! Avoid becoming a statistic by attending one of the
three "STDs/HIV & U" workshops/forums, sponsored by Phoenix
College.
The workshops/forums will
be held February 11, 13 and 14 in the Student Life and Leadership area,
located in the lower level of the Hannelly Center at Phoenix College.
These free, interactive and
informative sessions are open to students and the community. They will
focus on the prevalence, dangers and prevention of sexually transmitted
diseases, including HIV.
A guest expert will include
Dr. James Eitner, M.D. Additionally, Phoenix College faculty and staff
will interact with participants during each program.
Health literature and condoms will also be available free of charge.
