Students Encouraged to Take a Walk on the Creative Side

(PHOENIX, Ariz., Aug. 10, 2005) - Phoenix College will offer two new art classes this Fall: Digital Multimedia and Digital Storytelling.

Digital Multimedia (TCM 100)
Tuesdays & Thursdays
9 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.


Students will learn introductory digital video editing to capture, edit and combine their home movies. The course will also cover digital video techniques, audio recording, and adding soundtracks to digital video. Learn the basics of video pre/post production and you might become the next Spielberg!

Digital Storytelling (ART 150)
Thursdays
6 - 9 p.m.


Students will create a digital short visual story based on something personal in their lives using photos, artifacts, and two audio tracks. This course enables students to find and develop their personal stories with an emphasis on the use of digital technology to create, edit, produce and archive their work. The final DVD is a wonderful as a memento or to share as a gift.

Both classes are introductory level courses and require no previous experience.
