Ariz., Aug. 11, 2004) From financial planning to basic computer
classes, the Phoenix College Lifelong Learning Program offers programs
and services of particular interest or that benefit the mature adult.
These noncredit classes, although geared to the mature adult, are open
to individuals of all ages.
A variety of educational experiences
are offered, including courses, workshops, lectures and special events.
Classes, workshops and sessions

Art All Around Us
Free
Art All Around Us is a popular lecture series presented by the
Phoenix Art Museum.
Basic Computer -
$40
For new computer users or those planning to buy a computer, Basic Computer
provides instruction on Windows 95/98/2000 and Microsoft Word.
Intermediate Computer
- $40
Intermediate Computer builds upon the Basic Computer class
and is for those individuals who have some knowledge of computers but
who are ready to go beyond the fundamentals. It includes instruction on
Microsoft Word, Internet and E-mail.
News and Money
Free
News and Money offers an in-depth look at current events and how
they affect money and investments. The class will also include a broad
historical perspective of the economy and the stock market.
Beginning Spanish Conversation
- $35 (additional $5 book fee)
Beginning Spanish Conversation will allow students to get their
feet wet in Spanish conversation in a stress-free environment.
Short Story Discussion
- $5
Participants will read and discuss stories by the finest masters of the
short literary form.
Bicycling Know
How - $5
Participants will learn the history of bicycling and the various types
of bicycles and accessories available. The session will address and review
laws and safety tips for bicycling in the Valley.
