(PHOENIX, Ariz., April 19, 2005) – Established in 2003, the Ursa Student Leadership Awards were created to recognize and celebrate student leadership at Phoenix College. Students nominated for the Ursa Award are those that have made a difference at Phoenix College or in their community as well as serve as positive role models to their peers.

The Ursa Awards recipients will be honored during an awards ceremony on April 28 at 3 p.m. in the Bears’ Den (Hannelly Center, lower level). All members of the PC community are invited to attend the ceremony.

This year, 25 students have been nominated by faculty and staff to receive this recognition. Recipients of the 2005 Ursa Student Leadership Awards are:
