College Presents The Phoenix Symphony String Orchestra April 7



WHAT:

The Phoenix College Honors and Classical Studies Program will host Symphony Connections with The Phoenix Symphony String Orchestra this Thursday, April 7. The event is free and guests can enjoy a number of selections ranging from Mozart to Tchaikovsky.

Symphony Connections is a cooperative program between the Phoenix Symphony and the Maricopa Community Colleges, which brings musical opportunities to students and the campus community.

This year's program will include selections from the following:

Vivaldi-Cello Concerto in D Major #178, Mvt. III Allegro
Telemann-Viola Concerto in G Major, Mvt. IV Presto
Mozart-Divertimento No. 136 in D Major, Mvt. III Presto
Mozart-Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Mvt. I, Mvt. IV
Mendelssohn-Sinfonia No. 8 in D Major, Mvt. III Minuet,
Mvt. IV Allegro molto
Dvorak-Serenade in E Major Op. 22, Mvt. V Finale
Tchaikovsky-Symphony No. 4, Mvt. III Scherzo
Holst-St. Paul's Suite, Mvts. I - III
