Instructors From Seven Indigenous Cultures To Participate in Panel Discussion - April 8 WHAT: The Center for Indian Education through funding by Georgetown University's Cooperative Association of States for Scholarship (CASS) Program will present a panel discussion with representatives from seven Indigenous cultures of Mexico and Ecuador. The free event will allow visiting instructors from the Mexican states of Chiapas, Zacatecas, Jalisco, as well as the country of Ecuador to share their learning experiences about their native lands and about the time they have spent in Arizona. They will entertain guests with a dynamic power point presentation showcasing their cultures and rich heritage. The event will also include poetry readings and a musical jam session. The presentation will be conducted entirely in Spanish.

Bears' Den - Student Life Center
The program consists of 20 indigenous educators from the states of Jalisco and Chiapas, Mexico. They are engaged in a well-rounded, year-long professional development training program in Multilingual/Multicultural studies. The educators have collaborated with the PC Teacher Education Program in learning community activities. The program is hosted by Arizona State University (ASU) College of Education and funded by Georgetown. COST: Free ### |
