(PHOENIX, Ariz., April 1, 2003) – The Phoenix College Alumni Association is currently seeking applicants for the 2004 Bear Leadership Award. All applications are due by Friday, April 23 in the Office of Alumni & Development.

Every year, the Alumni Association recognizes the outstanding work of student clubs and organizations with $100, which is applied to the club’s scholarship fund. The winner is recognized as an outstanding club that has demonstrated the highest level of excellence and achievement as best illustrated through a program or activity held during the 2003-2004 academic year. Organization activities or programs should include at least one of the following:

--Community Service
--Fellowship and Community
--Scholarship and/or mentoring
--PC history or tradition (s)
--Outreach and Recruitment to new and potential student
--Enhancing PC’s image, either on or off campus (or both)
--The importance of education
--Cultural diversity

The award winner and finalists will be recognized at the PCAA Annual Meeting and Salsa Dip Contest on May 5 at 6:30 a.m. in the Willo Room.
